CENTRE CO., Pa. (WJAC) — New vehicles at a Howard Fire Company are helping them respond quicker, according to its officials. Saturday afternoon they dedicated two new engine rescue trucks.
Company President Bill Nearhoof tells 6 News these new vehicles require less crew members to get them up and running. That's due in part to these two engines replacing what were previously three pieces of apparatus. Authorities with the state attorney general's office say the man who escaped from the Warren County Jail over the summer has been sentenced to decades behind bars.
Michael Burham was ordered to serve an aggregate sentence of 25 years and two months to 50 years and four months in prison.
“The defendant used all possible means to escape the consequences of his actions,” said Attorney General Henry. “Today, thanks to hard work and collaboration between our office and the Pennsylvania State Police, the Warren County District Attorney’s Office, and the City of Warren Police Department, Michael Burham will be held accountable for his many crimes.
