NEW YORK CITY (TND) — A migrant fatally stabbed another migrant outside of a New York City shelter on Sunday after a "verbal dispute," according to the New York City Police Department.
Oscar Gonzalez is accused of stabbing Argeyeris Martinez near the Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Center in East Harlem. Gonzalez was charged with murder and aggravated criminal possession of a weapon. Both men lived at the shelter. State Police in Hazleton are releasing more details around the 57-year cold case that was solved this week. 9-year-old Marise Ann Chiverella was raped and murdered on March 18, 1964. Her case went cold. The killer's DNA profile had been checked every month since 2007 against all new DNA data entries. There was a distant genealogy match in 2019.
