Lancaster Co. dairy farm faces lawsuit for sale of illegal raw milk products

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Miller's Organic Farm is now facing a lawsuit for repeated violations of laws and regulations surrounding the sale of raw milk products. Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture announced the lawsuit on Tuesday. The complaint alleges that Miller's Organic Farm failed to obtain proper licenses and permits, sold illegal raw milk products and sold raw milk products outside of Pennsylvania. According to the Department of AG, these offenses put the farm in violation of Pennsylvania’s Milk Sanitation Law, Food Safety Act, Retail Food Facility Safety Act, and Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law. Local mental health officials discuss resources available amidst increased need

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Mental health officials in Cambria County are reminding the public about resources available to those in crisis. Officials say they are seeing an increased need for access to mental health services in the county. They say one of those resources is the National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Officials there say they also provide suicide prevention education and awareness and offer free training for anyone in the community so they can recognize the signs. Read More...

New owners of Indian Lake Marina offer more activities for public

CENTRAL CITY -- The Indian Lake Marina in Somerset County is under new ownership. It's a private lake available to hundreds of residents who live along the shore. And those in charge are now offering more activities for local residents. Some say Indian Lake has been a hidden gem since the early '60s. It's a 5-mile-long, 500 acre horseshoe shaped lake.
