(WJAC) — A State College man who was wrongly arrested in Nov. after threatening phone messages were left at schools in the Hollidaysburg School District has filed a civil rights lawsuit against a former Blair County district attorney, various police departments and school officials. Newsom announces budget cuts to tackle California's $27.6 billion deficit

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced in a news conference Friday his plans to cut state funding to stop the state's growing deficit. This is a part of his revised 2024-2025 budget plan. He said the approach they are taking this time around is a little different than they have in years past. Susan Backlinie, the actor who portrayed the woman killed by a massive shark in the opening scene the iconic movie "Jaws," has died. Sean Clark, who is the founder of Convention All Stars, confirmed Backlinie's death on social media.
