Woman killed in Quemahoning Twp crash

QUEMAHONING TWP, Pa. (WJAC) — Update: State police say 61-year-old Denise Shaulis has died after her vehicle collided with a dump truck along Route 30 in Somerset County Wednesday. The crash happened near the intersection of Haines School Road after Shaulis' vehicle crossed over into the other lane, police say. Another driver involved in the crash told police Shaulis was having trouble maintaining her lane before crossing into the path of the truck. Read More...

DCNR to allow more pet-friendly campsites at state parks in 2022

HARRISBURG, Pa (WJAC) — The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced that beginning in 2022, there will be more pet-friendly campsites offered at state parks throughout the commonwealth. “We’re getting the word out early that more than 130 new sites at six state parks will be ‘pet friendly’ next year because we know many of our campers like to plan their stays well in advance,” Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn said.
