REDMOND, Wash. (KOMO) — A Redmond High School counselor has been arrested for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a student, the Redmond Police Department announced in a news release Friday.
The RPD said 35-year-old Derik Detweiler, of Kenmore, was taken into custody without incident in Cody, Wyoming, on Thursday. Detweiler will remain in custody until he is extradited back to Washington.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Detweiler with communication with a minor for immoral purposes, sexual misconduct with a minor in the second degree and supplying liquor to a minor. Read More...
